License & billing

Practical reference for managing your WS Terminal subscription. WS Terminal is sold and billed through Whop — all subscription actions (view, change, cancel) happen in your Whop dashboard, not in the WS Terminal app.

This page covers:

  • How to find your subscription in Whop
  • What happens when you cancel (and what doesn't)
  • Reactivating after a cancellation
  • Switching between Basic and Pro
  • Where the refund policy lives

Where your subscription lives

WS Terminal subscriptions live on Whop, our checkout and billing platform. To view, manage, or cancel your subscription:

  1. Sign in to https://whop.com with the account you used at checkout
  2. Go to your My Memberships / dashboard page
  3. Find the WS Terminal entry — it'll show your tier (Basic or Pro), current renewal date, and active status

If you're not sure which Whop account you used, check your email for the WS Terminal purchase confirmation — it was sent to the email on the Whop account that paid.

Tiers

Two tiers at launch:

Basic

The live bot, both shipping presets (WS Terminal Standard and WS Terminal Max), full risk management features (adaptive volatility stops, trailing stops, breakeven, multi-entry pyramiding), and position-sizing controls.

What Basic doesn't include:

  • Custom user presets (Pro adds save / load / rename / delete on your own configurations)
  • The in-app backtester
  • Granular configuration editing (every parameter beyond position sizing — strategy schedule, FVG selection, risk parameters, breakeven, trailing)
  • Discord community access (Pro)

Basic can edit the connection settings, the futures contract, position sizing, the dashboard port, and the auto-start toggle. Everything else stays at the active preset's values.

Pro

Everything in Basic, plus:

  • Custom user presets — save your current config as a named preset, rename, delete, switch between any number of presets
  • In-app backtester — run the strategy against historical price data without placing orders, so you can sweep parameter variants
  • Granular configuration editing — every parameter on the Config page is editable (the strategy block, the risk block, the multi-entry block, daily limits, all of it)
  • Discord community access — invite-only Discord for Pro subscribers

The bot itself is the same binary either way — your tier just controls which sections of the Config page are editable and which features unlock in the dashboard.

How to cancel

In Whop:

  1. Sign in to https://whop.com
  2. Go to My Memberships
  3. Find the WS Terminal subscription
  4. Click into it, then click Cancel subscription

That's it from the user side. Whop handles the rest. You'll get a cancellation confirmation email.

What happens after you cancel

Cancellation is end-of-period, not immediate. You keep full access until the end of your current paid billing period — for a monthly subscription, until your next renewal date that you've already paid for.

During that grace period:

  • The bot continues to work normally on the tier you paid for
  • Custom presets, trade history, and config are unaffected
  • You can still use the dashboard, the backtester (Pro), every feature you paid for

At the end of the paid period:

  • The bot transitions into a limited mode. The bot will not place new orders, but the dashboard remains accessible and your historical data, trade log, and config files stay intact.
  • Your license activation will read inactive when checked from the cloud
  • Reactivating restores everything (see below)

Nothing on disk is deleted by Whop or by WS Terminal. Your %APPDATA%\WSTerminal\ folder — license file, trade history, presets, acknowledgments — stays exactly where it was. Your custom presets are preserved if you reactivate later.

How to reactivate after cancellation

  1. Sign in to Whop with the same account
  2. Subscribe to WS Terminal again at the tier you want
  3. Open WS Terminal — the bot detects that the license is once again valid via the next cloud-validation check
  4. If for some reason it doesn't pick up automatically, go to Settings → License → Deactivate, then re-activate (Sign in with Whop again)

Reactivating with the same Whop account restores access immediately. Reactivating with a different Whop account is treated as a new license activation — your local data stays put on disk, but the cloud sees a different identity.

Upgrading or downgrading your tier

Tier changes happen on Whop:

  1. Sign in to https://whop.com
  2. Go to My Memberships → WS Terminal
  3. Click the upgrade or downgrade option (depending on your current tier)

When the change processes:

  • Upgrading Basic → Pro — the additional Pro features (custom presets, backtester, granular editing) unlock the next time the bot validates the license with the cloud, typically within a minute. If the changes don't appear, restart the bot — that forces a re-check.
  • Downgrading Pro → Basic — Pro-only fields on the Config page become read-only at the next license check, but your saved custom presets remain on disk. They just become inaccessible from the picker until you upgrade again.

Whop handles the proration on its end. The WS Terminal app doesn't touch billing — it only checks "what tier is this license currently on."

Annual prepay

If we offer an annual prepay tier at a discount, it'll be a separate Whop product. Switching from monthly to annual is a cancel-then-resubscribe operation on Whop's side — there isn't currently a direct "convert to annual" flow.

Refund policy

WS Terminal's refund policy is hosted on the marketing site at ws-trading.co/refund.html. The policy is published and authoritative there — please read it in full before requesting a refund.

In broad strokes:

  • WS Terminal is a software product, not a financial service
  • Refund requests should be sent to support@ws-trading.co
  • Specifics on timing, eligibility, and process are in the full policy on the marketing site

For the binding terms, refer to the linked policy — that page is the source of truth, not this paragraph.

When something goes wrong with billing

  • Charged but no access — first verify the Whop account you paid with matches the Whop account you signed into the bot with. Most billing-vs-access mismatches come from two different Whop accounts.
  • Charged twice / charged after cancellation — these are Whop-side, not WS Terminal-side. Contact Whop support directly through your Whop dashboard.
  • Subscription active in Whop but bot says license invalid — click Settings → License → Deactivate, then Activate again to force a re-check.

For anything else, email support@ws-trading.co with your Whop account email and a description of what you're seeing.
